Job Summary


AnMed is seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for their Cancer Center in Anderson SC. Located along South Carolina s National Heritage Corridor the greater Anderson area is a fast-growing and diverse county of about 185000 residents.

Job Description:
  • Candidates can be BE or BC but BC is HIGHLY PREFERRED based on the complexity of the practice and the first physician will be onsite alone a majority of the time (until a second provider is hired).
  • Full-time position covering outpatient clinic (very few) hospital rounds
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with slight variations possible (32 minimum patient contact hours) On call
  • Cover practice call and inpatient for Oncology patients (no weekends)
  • Practice is in a phase of rebuilding
  • Desired start date: ASAP
  • Approximately 1200 new cancer cases per year
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 15-25
  • Facilitys Trauma Level/Designation: Trauma Level 2
  • State-of-the-art Cancer Center with Commission on Cancer Accreditation since 1984
  • On-site Radiation Oncology department

  • This is a permanent full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: $500000-$750000 annually depending upon training and experience. To be discussed at interview.

  • TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Hematology/Medical Oncology - REQUIRED
  • Board Certified is highly preferred- HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • SC License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Completed fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology - REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice & License History - REQUIRED
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - REQUIRED * no exemption required at presentation
  • DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - (note in Additional Submission Details field) REQUIRED * no exemptions
  • CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start) - (note in Additional Submission Details field) REQUIRED * no exemptions
  • Does the provider require visa support - J1 or H1B (note in Additional Submission Details field) - REQUIRED
  • Permanent Placement Fee $35K (note in Additional Submission Details field) - REQUIRED
