Bon Secours Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a locum Cardiac Surgery Physician!
Heavy cardiac focus required thoracic preferred but not required.

Average Number of Cases Per Day: 1-2

Annual ER Volume: 30000

Number of Operating Rooms: 1 Heart 1 Hybrid

Documentation System/EMR: EPIC

Ancillary Staff: First Assist with Endoscopic Saphenous Vein Harvest experience

Patient Age Demographic: Adult Geriatric

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Adult Cardiac Surgery - Required
• General Thoracic Surgery - Preferred
• Congenital Cardiac Surgery
• CABG
• Off-Pump CABG
• Arterial Revascularization (Using Internal Mammary Arteries Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery)
• Redo Coronary Revascularization (With or Without Heart Valve Surgery)
• Tube Thoracostomy
• Pericardial Window
• Tracheostomy
• Thoracic aortic aneurysms
• Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy
• Thoracotomy Lung Biopsy
• Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy
• Thoracotomy Decortication
• Mediastinal Surgery
• Mediastinotomy and Biopsy
• Surgical Open Aneurysm Repair
• Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery
• Mitral Valve Repair

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

Rates to strictly follow:

• Orientation: $450/hour
• 24 hour call: $5500/24 hours with 2 hours gratis
• CB: $500/hour of patient contact after gratis hours

Travel Reimbursement Information:

• Lodging: $150/night
• All other bookings approve for standard/economy rates

• Board Certified - REQUIRED
• BLS Certified - REQUIRED
• KY License - Preferred willing to accept candidates needing to obtain a license
• CLEAN BACKGROUND REQUIRED
• Impella support (Insertion/Removal/Bailout) REQUIRED
• Structural Heart Support (in Hybrid OR / Cath Lab) - REQUIRED
• A Self-Query NPDB report is required at the time of presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - REQUIRED
