Job Summary
Job Summary (CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic)
- Analyze troubleshoot maintain and repair a wide range of CNC electro-mechanical control systems and subsystems for precision machining equipment.
- Detect machine abnormalities using real-time data (e.g. servo load temperature vibration acoustics) to support predictive maintenance and improve zero breakdown and zero defect capabilities.
- Read and interpret schematics drawings performance specifications and operating requirements for various industrial machinery.
- Program and operate CNC equipment to verify the accuracy and quality of maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare detailed repair reports and maintain accurate maintenance records using advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Use power tools hand tools and operate a forklift as required for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment adhering to company policies quality standards and industry safety standards.
- Work independently or as part of a team demonstrating strong problem-solving analytical and organizational skills.
- Prefer experience with Ballbar testing and analysis as well as Fanuc Mitsubishi Heidenhain and Mazatrol CNC controllers.
- Prefer experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC and servo drive hardware/software.
- Prefer experience maintaining and repairing a variety of CNC machine brands (e.g. Mazak KERN Tsugami EuroTech Rofin Fanuc EDM Maier Citizen).
- Prefer associates degree in advanced manufacturing or related technical certification.
- Strong focus on preventative maintenance (PM) activities.
