Position Summary
KBR Inc. is seeking a highly capable and organized Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Clearfield UT.
Key Responsibilities
Operate with minimal supervision demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills while collaborating with senior leadership government agencies and the KBR team.
Provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications.
Document engineering processes and workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience 5 preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desired:
Proficient understanding and working knowledge of SolidWorks and simulation tools such as ANSYS.
Proficient understanding and working knowledge of material selection manufacturing techniques and creating and interpreting engineering drawings and data.
Experience and knowledge of reliability maintainability and supportability challenges due to aging and obsolete components.
Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis.
