Associate Project Engineer Commissioning

As a Project Engineer a typical day might include the following:

• Know and apply fundamental concepts practices and procedures of power system focus area*.

• Assist teams that support customers with the design installation commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems both on-site and from SEL offices.

• Complete assigned work using established procedures and working under immediate supervision.

• Complete assigned work within agreed upon scope schedule and budget while focusing on quality and safety.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline

• Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and find solutions

• Willing to travel both domestically and internationally a minimum of 25% based on focus area.

• Strong writing documentation and speaking skills

• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• College coursework in electric power and/or controls (power system protection symmetrical components programming control systems)

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate

• Work experience in electric utilities industrial plants communications computer programming or construction

Focus Area Commissioning

• Commissioning perform commissioning and site acceptance testing in the field train and assist customers with installation commissioning and operation of devices. Up to 80% travel.

Pay Range Data

Associate Project Engineer: $84000 $124000.

We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
