What Youll Do as an Autism Special Education Teacher

Youll make a lasting difference every single day by:

• Design and deliver highly structured individualized instruction tailored to each students needs
• Implement and monitor IEP goals focused on communication social interaction behavior and daily living skills
• Use evidence-based practices such as visual supports task analysis prompting strategies and reinforcement systems
• Support students with complex sensory behavioral and communication needs including nonverbal learners
• Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and measure progress
• Develop and implement behavior intervention strategies in collaboration with related service providers
• Create predictable routines and structured environments that promote student success
• Lead coach and collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the classroom
• Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to support each student holistically
