Overview
The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health at Childrens Mercy Kansas City is recruiting for a psychologist to join our multidisciplinary outpatient eating disorders team. The primary clinical responsibilities for this position will include the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with eating disorders (anorexia nervosa bulimia nervosa avoidant-restrictive food intake disorder and related disorders) in an outpatient setting ( Eating Disorders Center).
The psychologist in this role will be part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team of adolescent medicine behavioral health and nutrition specialists who work together to provide integrated comprehensive care. Our program implements evidence-based treatments for eating disorders including CBT DBT FBT CBT-AR and ACT. Opportunities to participate in program development initiatives including planning for and implementation of an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are available.
This position includes teaching in the hospitals pediatric medical and psychology training programs and protected academic time for service research and other scholarly activities. Faculty mentoring is available for those interested in clinical scholarship (e.g. program evaluation quality improvement initiatives). This position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience. We are recruiting at all levels of rank/experience.
Applicants for this position must have:
- A PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology pediatric psychology or clinical child psychology
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship with clinical child and adolescent psychology as a major area of study
- Relevant experience
- Eligibility for licensure in Missouri and Kansas
