Appian Senior Consultant

Position type: Full-time 1099 or solo C2C (no third-party C2C)

Job Description:

We are looking for talented driven individuals to join our team. The right candidate would be an Appian Senior Consultant who is able to lead meetings and facilitate communication between a client and Appian development team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead sprint ceremonies including Daily Standups Sprint Planning Story Refinement & Demos
• Work closely with client to gather requirements and write/refine user stories for handoff to development team
• Be main point of contact for client during US business hours
• Work closely with client to plan sprints in advance
• Coordinate delivery timeline with development team
• Escalate any reprioritization of backlog to internal Project Manager including the associated impact that reprioritization will have on the initial scope in the Release Plan
• Provide Weekly Status updates to appropriate stakeholders highlighting both risks and mitigation steps
• Escalate complex architecture issues to team Architect
• Escalate project risks when necessary while clearly communicating impact
• Lead ad-hoc demos at clients request
• Develop use stories alongside development team where necessary

Required:

• Minimum of three (3) years experience on Appian projects
• Minimum of three (1) year experience with Agile (Scrum) software development
• Minimum of six (6) months leading sprint ceremonies and client meetings
• Strong grasp of Agile concepts including understanding of terms and applicable ceremonies
• Strong grasp of Appian functional concepts
• Capable of interpreting analyzing and communicating business requirements to development team
• Excellent communication with no difficulties understanding or being understood
• Strong organizational skills capable of preparing for and leading internal and client-facing meetings including requirement gathering and Sprint Planning sessions
• Experience presenting user demos
• Passion for technology and innovation
• Understands high-level database concepts

Preferred:

• IT consulting experience
• Appian Certification
