Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality food safety and compliance within assigned production or processing areas. This role performs inspections testing and documentation to verify that products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. The QA Technician works closely with production maintenance and sanitation teams to identify and resolve quality issues support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine food safety and quality inspections on production lines
Verify labels lot numbers pack dates and country of origin for accuracy
Perform metal detector checks and ensure proper functionality
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) including PPE and hygiene standards
Perform environmental monitoring ATP swabbing and sanitation checks
Collect and document samples for microbiological and analytical testing
Monitor and verify temperatures chemical concentrations and sanitation solutions
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
24 years of experience in quality assurance food production or manufacturing environments preferred
Knowledge of GMPs food safety standards and quality control processes
Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret data
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel Word and/or ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Open and flexible to work any shift including weekends overtime and holidays as needed
