Applied Materials PPC Manufacturing Engineering Department is searching for an intern to join our team in Summer 2026! The Manufacturing Engineering position is dynamic activities and assignments may change day-to-day. The position will entail the following:

• Manufacturing point of contact for resolving design and manufacturability issues

• Generate and manage engineering specification waivers

• Drive engineering corrective actions

• Work instruction creation and updates

• Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures

• Facilitate manufacturing process improvements

  • Value stream mapping

  • Material routing

  • Material presentation

  • Tooling presentation

  • Build sequencing

Requirements

• Experience in Windchill and CREO preferred.

• Mechanical or Industrial engineering experience in LEAN manufacturing assembly processes and work instructions preferred.

• Motivated driven and self-starter.

• Must be able to manage dynamic priorities.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.

For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
