QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Primary certification as established by Education Professional Standards Board with minimum of three (3) years teaching experience with preference given to experience and/or endorsements in reading/literacy.

JOB GOALS:To oversee and implement reading intervention services and teacher training as outlined in the Read to Achieve grant.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in appropriate professional development as need to implement the Read to Achieve grant
Administer appropriate assessments and work with the Response to Intervention team to identify students for interventions
Provide direct intervention services according to district and grant guidelines
Monitor the academic progress of each student receiving intervention services as outlined by the district and grant plans
Collaborate with the assigned regular classroom teacher(s) to implement appropriate reading strategies within his/her core reading instruction time
Provide professional development to full elementary staff on effective reading strategies as outlined in the grant plan
Communicates with parents other teachers instructional assistants and supervisors as necessary to implement the grant plan
Performs other professional tasks (within reason) as may be assigned by the principal or the superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Superintendentand the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions ofthe Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
