Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: Night Shift 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) 36 hours/week
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU). In this role you will provide specialized high-acuity care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric and cardiac patients
- Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate timely and detailed patient documentation
- Educate and support patients families regarding treatment plans and care
- Ensure compliance with established clinical protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
- Completion of a Nurse Residency Program (for new graduates) Required
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
Experience & Skills
- Prior experience in PICU or CVPICU Preferred
- Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
