Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU). In this role you will provide specialized high-acuity care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric and cardiac patients
Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate timely and detailed patient documentation
Educate and support patients families regarding treatment plans and care
Ensure compliance with established clinical protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
Completion of a Nurse Residency Program (for new graduates) Required
Licensure & Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
Experience & Skills
Prior experience in PICU or CVPICU Preferred
Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices
Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure fast-paced environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
