DePuy Synthes a MedTech and Devices company within J&J is advancing the future of orthopedic care through innovative surgical robotics and digital solutions. As an Electrical Engineering Coop you will support product quality engineering and reliability efforts to ensure our groundbreaking medical technologies remain safe effective and compliant with applicable regulations standards and industry best practices.
In this role you will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to review and assess product development activitiesincluding user needs design plans requirements design documentation risk management files and verification/validation evidenceto ensure alignment with internal procedures and external regulatory expectations. Our growing team develops technology that enhances performance accuracy and safety across a wide range of surgical procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision and in accordance with applicable laws regulations and Johnson & Johnson procedures you will:
Support the design development and testing of electrical hardware for surgical robotic systems.
Collaborate with R&D teams to clarify requirements and maintain uptodate design and architecture documentation.
Assist in documenting new hardware designs and updates.
Lead individual research projects to improve product performance and user experience; present findings and collaborate on integrating hardware enhancements into our existing robotics portfolio.
Contribute to design recommendations that influence engineering decisions and help improve surgical outcomes.
Provide input and support for verification and validation activities involving digital health technologies.
Review project and program deliverables such as requirements specifications test protocols test results traceability documents risk management files and summary reports.
Work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
Experience & Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
Ability to apply appropriate quality tools systems and processes to meet engineering and departmental objectives.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
Experience with circuit design (academic or projectbased).
Knowledge of wireless technologies and related standards.
Interest and/or experience in robotics.
Strong communication and technical writing skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$23.00/hr to $51.50/hrAdditional Description for Pay Transparency:
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidates program year discipline degree and/or -Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the -Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington up to 56 hours per calendar -Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Companys consolidated retirement plan (pension).
