Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will have the following Responsibilities and will need the following Qualifications:
Overall Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooter and Repairer of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Significant contributor to all plant equipment upgrades and replacement projects.
Continuous Improvement Responsibilities:
- Assure all repairs are done correctly the first time.
- Grow individual knowledge in all BTS equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
- Drive 5S improvements in Maintenance areas.
- Drive ongoing improvement in plant safety performance.
- Willingly support rapid return-to-service plans whenever called upon.
- Help maintain inventory of plant spare parts by reporting usage of parts and any observed shortages.
- Identify potential or impending failures and implement effective preventive countermeasures.
- Complete assigned inspections and preventive maintenance procedures on-time.
- Maintain and continuously improve one or more 5S areas as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience on manufacturing machines.
- 3-5 years of experience with 480 volt (3-phase) 3-5 years with Schematics.
- Familiarity with common mechanical and electrical systems is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to interpret hydraulic and electric diagrams and schematics are desirable.
