Responsibilities
Cost Management & Forecasting
- Assist in the development maintenance and management of project budgets and cost reports
- Track and analyze project costs including labor materials equipment and subcontractors
- Support monthly cost forecasting and estimate-at-completion (EAC) processes
- Identify cost trends risks and opportunities; provide recommendations to project leadership
- Monitor committed vs. actual costs and ensure alignment with project budgets
Project Controls & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely cost reports dashboards and performance metrics
- Support earned value management (EVM) and productivity tracking where applicable
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules in coordination with scheduling teams
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost schedule and productivity
- Prepare and distribute regular project financial and progress reports
Change Management
- Support the change order process including pricing tracking and documentation
- Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of changes and potential risks
- Ensure all changes are properly captured and reflected in project forecasts
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Project Managers Superintendents and Accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting
- Participate in project meetings to provide cost and schedule insights
- Assist in subcontractor and vendor coordination related to cost tracking and billing
- Support audits and internal reviews related to project financials
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize project management and cost control systems (e.g. Procore Primavera P6 SAP Viewpoint)
- Identify opportunities to improve cost control processes reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and financial controls
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in construction management engineering architecture preferred or equivalent experience.
- 46 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of construction equipment and techniques drawings and specifications project health safety and environment (HSE) quality building materials and required standards as per subject area.
- Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask prioritize own work and direct-report tasks.
- Able to create and lead schedules a comprehensive scale.
- Ability to formulate subcontracts and administer subcontracts and contract documents.
- Proven understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems with a strong skills for embracing new technology.
