Job Summary :

Endoscopy Tech provides appropriate procedure care with assisting physician and/or Register Nurse while performing endoscopic tasks. Maintains instruments and supplies as needed.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist physician with procedural related tasks
Monitor instrument/equipment for processing following standards or practice and guidelines. Cleans decontaminates and sterilizes endoscopes and accessories.
Collects and obtains tissue specimens per protocol and guidelines.
Assists RN with patient care and transporting
Provides assistance in the order of priority and re-prioritizes as designated.

Education/Experience:

Endoscopy Tech education or Certified Surgical Tech (CST) preferred not required.

1-2 years of experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications Preferred:

(CST) Currently certified by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
