As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Associate in Alexandria VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location where you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents and deliver exceptional customer service and this role you will contribute to a caring team-focused culture built on reliability innovation and integrity while making a meaningful impact each day.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors passengers and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents alarms suspicious activity and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations platforms parking areas offices and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
• Monitor entry points screen restricted areas and verify credentials or access permissions in accordance with post orders and applicable location requirements.
• Support emergency and transit-related response efforts by directing foot traffic assisting with evacuations and coordinating with law enforcement and/or public agency representatives when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
