Area Project Manager

This position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing meetinghouses and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto Christ.

This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can worship teach learn pray together make and renew covenants and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should 1)Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship and 2)Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community. This position:.

• Is responsible for ensuring the quality construction of projects such as new buildings major renovations/expansions or non-standard meetinghouses or specialty buildings.
• Reports to a Area Meetinghouse Facilities Manager.
• Must consistently meet performance metrics.

• Supervises a team of project managers and liaises with management team of a third party provider to ensure provider project managers are also performing well.
• Works with project managers to resolve issues which may cause delays add costs or alter the program.
• Thoroughly tracks all projects to ensure successful and quality completion and regularly reports to the areas management team.
• May act as a communication link between supervisor local governments architects general contractor and local leaders.
• Serves on area committees that involve working with the Director for Temporal Affairs area managers and other team members.
• Develops relationships with peers and resources at Headquarters.

• Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.(Masters preferred) in Construction Management Engineering or Architecture or professional license.
• Requires 15 years of construction field or project management experience including estimating scheduling and cost control.
