Position Summary

The Warehouse Loader/Material Handler is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of trailers movement of product throughout the warehouse and accurate completion of all required documentation. This role supports product flow palletizing labeling and warehouse organization while ensuring safety sanitation and compliance with company procedures. Strong communication attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Essential Functions

• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers safely and efficiently.
• Transport product throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain effective communication with all team members.
• Demonstrate strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Keep the work environment clean safe and sanitary.
• Ensure bills of lading and all required documentation are complete and accurate.
• Support fellow team members to promote a team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Palletizing & Product Handling

• Palletize bulk drums produced at the spouts.
• Ensure bulk drums are labeled with both production and spout labels.
• Assign pallet labels to completed pallets.
• Securely palletize product using proper positioning and shrink wrap.
• Stage palletized product safely and transport it within the warehouse.
• Ensure all product labels are scanned and correctly placed.

Trailer Safety & Loading

• Secure and inspect trailer stability before loading (dock locks chocks stands air locks).
• Inspect all inbound and outbound trailers and complete required documentation.
• Stage scan and load trailers in a timely manner ensuring product stability and security.
• Verify trailer weight is within guidelines and evenly distributed for transport.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Complete daily forklift and yard goat inspection checklists prior to use.
• Ensure forklift propane tanks and yard truck diesel fuel are topped off at end of shift.
• Report equipment or facility issues/damage to the Mill Lead immediately.

Warehouse Sanitation & Supplies

• Clean and sanitize all completed bulk bin lids before palletizing and loading.
• Sweep warehouse floors empty garbage and maintain a clean safe workplace.
• Monitor inventory of tools and supplies (shrink wrap tape towels etc.) needed for safe and efficient work.

Additional Support Duties

• Provide break and lunch coverage for Mill department as needed.
• Assist in receiving and storing drums and materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
