Job Summary
A key Optimus energy trading client is seeking professional Commodity Accountants at multiple levels with midstream or downstream experience (preferably with crude/refined products) to assist with the daily monthly quarterly and yearly operations of the organization applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that include analytical work and thorough review of financial records. These are in-office daily roles with multiple locations in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-10 Years of Accounting experience within a midstream or downstream trading company (crude/refined products/fuels is preferred)
- Any exposure to alternative fuels (i.e. EV) is preferred
- Accuracy of entries and reconciliation of subsidiary ledger accounts to the GL
- Managing prepaid accounts and monthly entries for commercial
- Managing all intercompany accounts to ensure balance at month end
- Providing schedules for audits as needed
- Answering accounting questions through research and interpreting data
- Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong written verbal and overall strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the company standards of professionalism
