The Design Quality team works in collaboration with the Optical Connectivity Product Development and Operations Engineering teams managing strategies for reliability screening and any special reliability tests needed for new product qualification and risk assessment.What You Can Expect
Principal Engineer to join the Design for Quality Product Qualification and Reliability effort for Marvells advanced optical products and modules.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead a small team of reliability engineers responsible for new optical product qualifications.
Lead interactions with design (optical electrical and mechanical) assembly product and test engineering teams for FMEA and reliability risk assessment and mitigation for new products.
Own best-in-class reliability targets and derisking/qualification plans for new optics products.
Own reliability model development and reliability estimates (FIT MTBF TTF) for optical components and modules.
Lead qualification and reliability screening strategy and platforms needed for advanced optical products (module sub-assemblies) including identifying the reliability stress hardware needed and leveraging commonalities with existing products.
Drive and manage special reliability tests as necessary to support product reliability risk assessment and component suitability for new product requirements.
Drive failure analysis activities as needed for qualification and reliability evaluation
Coordinate and consolidate responses to customer RFIs for Optical module products.
What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree inComputer ScienceElectrical Engineeringor related fields and 10- years of relatedprofessionalexperience OR Masters degree and/orPhD in ComputerScience ElectricalEngineering or relatedfields with 5-10 years of
experience.
5 years experience in product qualification and reliability of optical products (modules optical sub-assemblies optical components).
3 years leading or managing teams.
Strong working knowledge of Optical products (TOSA ROSA transceivers) is required.
Knowledge of semiconductor optical devices (lasers detectors modulators) including III-V (InGaAs InP) devices their failure modes and screening methodologies is a plus.
Knowledge of mechanical design manufacturing and assembly processes for optics products.
Knowledge of heterogeneous integration and packaging in optics products is desired.
Expert knowledge of Telcordia GR-468 and various other product qualification requirements for optical components in telecommunications markets.
In-depth knowledge of semiconductor and optical product stress testing methodology (HTOL THB/DH MSV TC HTS ESD etc.) industrial standards and requirements.
Experience with product development and NPI processes.
Experience with reliability data analysis / modeling and lifetime/FIT/MTBF estimates. Must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal as well as planning and organization skills.
Must be highly effective in a matrix management organization.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
142220 - 213000 $ per annumThe successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
