Description of Work

This position is a Human Services Provider Program Coordinator I based in the Therapeutic Diversion Unit (TDU) of the Central Prison Healthcare Complex in Raleigh. Central Prison houses approximately 1318 close-custody male offenders. While the TDU is a specialized treatment program with 24 beds.
This position reports directly to the Psychological Services Coordinator for the TDU.

The Human Services Provider Program Coordinator I (HSPPCI) will provide coordinate and be accountable for interdisciplinary person-centered services to individuals in the TDU program with mental health disorders serious mental illness complex behavioral disorders and co-occurring disorders intellectual disabilities and/or dementia or other neurocognitive impairment. This position will implement and assess behavioral health treatment programming to ensure that the treatment needs of individuals in this specialized program are addressed. The HSPPCI will provide treatment and progress updates to the responsible behavioral health provider(s) as well as specific and detailed input toward developing and modifying individual treatment consultation with the behavioral health professional staff the HSPPCI will be responsible for providing behavioral health and psychoeducational programming based on the needs and treatment goals of individuals in the TDU. The HSPPI is also responsible for assisting with the process of psychological test administration as directed by the programs Psychological Services Coordinator and/or Staff Psychologist. The HSPPCI will also assist with clerical duties as needed to support the TDUs activities.

The HSPPCI will ensure compliance with correctional-based health safety and habilitative services as required by state and/or federal law American Correctional Association expected practices and facility policies and procedures. The HSPPCI will work with the behavioral health team to
establish implement and monitor program goals quality controls and policies/procedures as may be needed to support the mission of the TDU. This position will work with numerous professional disciplines such as nursing medical psychiatry behavioral health programs and custody to provide and coordinate behavioral health services consistent with the needs of the individuals served in the TDU. The HSPPCI will attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings as needed.

Ability to supervise the operation of a residential unit.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Salary Range: $ 37377.00 $65408.00

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

Bachelors degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institutionand one year of experience providing and/or developing person-centered care plans for individualswith intellectual disabilities/co-occurring disorders; or an equivalent combination of educationand experience. Advanced degrees in human services may be substituted to meet educational requirements if an applicant does not possess a Bachelors degree in human services or a relatedfield.
