Part-Time Registered Nurse Occupational Health

Gundersen Health System La Crosse WI

Looking for a nursing role with daytime hours no weekends or holidays and the chance to work independently while still being part of a close-knit team Gundersen Health System is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Occupational Health Services team!

This role is perfect for an RN who enjoys variety values customer service and likes taking ownership of their day.

What is available:

  • 60 hours every two weeks
  • Primarily based on the La Crosse campus
  • Occasional coverage in Onalaska WI and Winona MN
  • Daytime hours:
    • Full days: 7:30am3:30pm or 7:30am4:00pm
    • Half days: 8:00am12:00pm
  • Week 1: Monday Wednesday Thursday (8 hrs) Friday (half day)
  • Week 2: MondayThursday (8 hrs/day)
  • Flexibility needed to help cover PTO and cover on site visits
  • No weekends. No holidays.

This is a hands-on nurse-driven role with a wide variety of responsibilities. Youll manage your schedule and provide direct care to patients and employees both in-clinic and on-site at local businesses.

What you will do:

  • Drug screens and breath alcohol testing (training provided)
  • Vision hearing and pulmonary function testing
  • Point-of-care urinalysis testing
  • Mask fit testing
  • Nurse triage and preventative care
  • Immigration exams
  • Assisting with DOT physicals and aviation exams alongside providers

What you will need:

  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Strong customer service mindset and flexibility
  • Minimum of associate degree in nursing
  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Willingness to obtain a Minnesota RN license (if needed)
  • BLS for healthcare providers
