Job Summary

The Opportunity

Cordova is seeking a high-caliber Director of Financial Analysis to serve as the strategic financial lead for our clients Wealth Management division. Reporting directly to the CFO you will act as a day-to-day strategic partner to business unit management bridging the gap between complex financial data and actionable business strategy.

This is a senior-level role that requires deep industry knowledge of the Wealth and Investment space. You will not only oversee reporting and budgeting but will actively participate in the strategic priorities of the management teamidentifying efficiencies explaining variances and communicating the accounting implications of high-level business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Strategy Execution: Develop and refine the financial strategy for the Wealth Sector ensuring total alignment with the Banks overarching organizational goals.

  • Advisory: Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and the CFO.

  • Planning: Lead comprehensive budgeting and forecasting cycles for assigned business units ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

Financial Reporting & Insights

  • Oversight: Direct the preparation of accurate timely financial reports including income statements balance sheets and sector-specific KPIs.

  • System Optimization: Implement and maintain robust management reporting systems that provide actionable insights rather than just data points.

  • Collaboration: Partner across departments to ensure data integrity and transparency in all external and internal reporting.

Performance & Risk Management

  • KPI Development: Design and implement sector-specific Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the health of the Wealth Management business line.

  • Efficiency Driving: Partner with department heads to analyze metrics identifying opportunities for cost-effectiveness and operational improvement.

  • Mitigation: Collaborate with Risk Management teams to assess and navigate financial risks staying ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Business; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • Certifications: CPA or CFA designation is highly desirable.

  • Industry Tenure: 5 years of progressive finance experience specifically within the Banking or Financial Services sector.

  • Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Wealth Management operations investment products and banking regulations.
