In your pivotal full-time role as Registered Behavior Technician you will be working directly with youngautisticchildren as part of a small team of multi-disciplinary professionals providingearlyintervention services..
This position is for a registered behavior technician (RBT) or a person eligible to become an RBT. RBTs will provide 1:1 ABA services under the close supervision ofBoard-CertifiedBehavior Analysts (BCBAs).Additionally this position requires a Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience).
Therapy is provided in the clinicatVanderbilt as well asatsome VUMCchild - must have reliable transportation. Successful candidates willdemonstratea clear ability to learn intervention techniques respond to feedbackregardingperformance work professionally and respectfully with families and other team members communicate effectively in both written electronic and verbal interactions with families and coworkers and manage their time efficiently to meet all project task is provided within a naturalistic and play-based model of intervention withvery youngchildren. Applicants must becomfortableengaginginphysicallyactive play with young children and must be able tolift upto 50 lbs.
For applicants who do not yet have their RBT credential they mustparticipatein40 hoursof didactic training (provided)and pass both a field and praxis havedemonstratedexperience working with young childrenare preferred.
RBTs will receive intensive and ongoing training and supervision to allow for the highest quality of service delivery. Our project is happy to support efforts by our RBTs to further their professional development as part of this project.
