Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential healthcare services within a secure correctional environment. The LPN will deliver direct patient care maintain safety and compliance standards and support overall medical operations while working under the supervision of healthcare leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and monitor inmate/resident health status
• Observe document and report behavioral and medical changes
• Maintain strict confidentiality and security of medical records
• Assist in evaluating healthcare services to ensure efficiency and avoid duplication
• Inspect medical units for contraband risks and ensure proper storage of supplies
• Prepare and maintain reports logs and medical documentation accurately
• Interpret medical instructions legal documents and regulatory requirements
• Respond to medical-related legal matters including chart reviews and documentation
• Communicate effectively with staff administration and inmates/residents
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment and reporting incidents or hazards
• Support emergency response and unusual incident management
• Coordinate and escort inmates/residents for medical care as required
• Participate in investigations and documentation processes when needed
• Perform security checks in designated areas as required

Work Environment

• Correctional facility setting with controlled and secure operations
• May involve exposure to challenging or high-stress situations
• Requires professionalism situational awareness and strong judgment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of correctional LPN experience
• Active Arizona LPN License
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Valid Drivers License
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
