We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Orthopedic Surgery unit. The RN will provide high-quality care to post-operative and orthopedic patients ensuring safe recovery and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Scheduling Details:
Shift: Night shift (3x12-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (subject to change based on unit needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic surgical patients
Monitor post-operative patients and manage pain mobility and recovery
Administer medications and treatments safely
Assess patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Educate patients and families on recovery mobility and discharge planning
Requirements:
Active Tennessee RN License or Multistate License (required)
Minimum 1 year of orthopedic or related specialty experience
Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
Certifications Required:
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching hospitals or community hospital settings
Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills
