We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care in an acute inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in oncology particularly with hematologic malignancies and be skilled in delivering comprehensive nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients including those with leukemia and lymphoma
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
Administer medications and treatments including chemotherapy (as applicable)
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with standards of care
Advocate for evidence-based practices and patient-centered care delivery
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care processes
Patient Population:
Adult oncology patients (acute inpatient setting)
Special focus on leukemia and lymphoma cases
Schedule & Work Details:
Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: 3 out of 6 holidays
Call: None
Floating: Required based on unit needs
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient oncology experience
Experience with leukemia & lymphoma patients
Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
BLS certification (AHA required)
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card (required)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Telemetry experience
Additional oncology certifications
