JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Underthe direction of the Summer Program Coordinator and OCC Director & ProgramCoordinator the Carbuncle Park Monitor will collect fees from visitors comingto use the beach area and splash pad. They will monitor the beach area andsplash pad for safety hazards such as sharp objects fallen tree limbs etc. Theymay assist in emergency situations. They will provide information to visitorsabout the beach rules and regulations and assist with enforcement of thoserules and regulations.
Responsibilities
The Carbuncle Park Monitor isresponsible for:
Safeguarding of beach and splash pad areas
- Assisting visitors with purchase of day and/or season passes
- Collection of fees
- Sale of concessions as needed
- Support lifeguards and program counselors.
- Performance of daily opening and closing procedures for the Splash Pad including attending to outdoor trash barrels.
- Maintain confidentiality of staff visitors and program participants
Supervisory Responsibility
None
Work Environment:
The work environment involves being outside working at freshwaterlake exposed to inclement weather conditions and often with insufficientprotection from the sun. Hazards may be presented by naturally occurring and continuallychanging conditions such as water temperature debris uneven sand.

Physical Skills: Little or no physical demand is required to perform the work. Workeffort principally involves periods of stooping walking and standing.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Seasonal Part time. 12-25 hours per week including weekends

Required Education and Experience
High school student with accuratemath/money skills.
Customer service oriented with the ability to adapt/respond to diversetypes of people.
Positive attitude- must enjoyworking with/around children
Work Authorization
