Support Worker - Home Care (Benalla area)
About the role
We are looking for people to join our team as Support Workers in the aged community part time positions are currently available to work with the community care team.
- As a support worker you will be supporting people with daily activities such as cooking cleaning laundry assistance in the community and being a companion
- Qualified support workers will also support clients with personal cares assistance with mobility and prompting with medication
- Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
- Promote customer choice positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer
We have clients living at home in Benalla and surrounding suburbs. Where we can we will roster employees based on geographic location to minimize travel.

Ideally you will have some experience in the health sector but if not we would still love to hear from you if this is a career you want to pursue and you have the right can-do attitude. Full training and orientation will be provided.
- A Certificate III in Aged Care Home and Community Care or Individual Support is essentialor willingness to undertake traineeship
- Current First aid and CPR certificate is essential
- Current and valid Drivers Licence with comprehensive insurance reliable motor vehicle
- Mobile phone that supports GPS is essential
- Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones email and internet
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
