Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Petersburg VA

Join a dedicated team at a leading medical facility in Petersburg Virginia offering comprehensive OB/GYN services. The practice provides a collaborative environment within the hospital and a potential for outpatient clinic coverage. We are seeking a locum OB/GYN to fill urgent coverage needs from May through July with opportunities for ongoing coverage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide OB/GYN care in a hospital setting including attending deliveries and surgical procedures.
• Participate in night call coverage with a 1:4 call ratio.
• Perform procedures such as C-sections vaginal deliveries suction D&C and manage ectopic pregnancies and abnormal bleeding.
• Support labor and delivery staff and collaborate with OBHG hospitalists and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
• Manage routine and urgent cases including rounding on patients in the hospital as needed.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Current and active VA medical license.
• Active DEA and CSR in Virginia.
• Professional experience in both clinic and hospital settings.
• Must demonstrate capability to cover all listed dates.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
• Clean background and self-query NPBD report during presentation.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in OB/GYN - Required.
• Active Virginia Medical License - Required.
• Active VA DEA and CSR - Required.
• ABOG and BLS certifications - Required.
