Job Title: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Petersburg VA
Join a compassionate and dynamic healthcare team at a well-regarded facility dedicated to providing exceptional care. The practice setting is within a hospital that offers both call coverage and potential clinic opportunities. You will have the chance to work with a supportive staff including OBHG hospitalists surgical assistants and skilled nursing teams ensuring the best outcomes for every patient.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive OB/GYN services including C-sections vaginal deliveries and management of ectopic pregnancies.
Manage patient care during call and clinic hours with a call ratio of 1 to 4.
Participate in deliveries and rounding for unattended patients in collaboration with Laborist care.
Participate in clinic duties typically 8:30 AM to 3 PM with an hour lunch break.
Document patient interactions using the EPIC EMR system.
Maintain necessary procedure logs documenting at least 50 deliveries and a minimum of 15 C-sections in the last year.
Engage with support staff efficiently to ensure streamlined patient care.
Qualifications:
Board Certified in OB/GYN
Active Virginia medical license DEA and CSR
Current certification in ABOG and BLS
Clean professional background with no malpractice history
Ability to meet specified availability and coverage requirements
Experience preferred in a hospital setting with familiarity in managing high-risk obstetrics
License and Certification Requirements:
Active Virginia Medical License
Active Virginia DEA and CSR
Board Certification (OB/GYN)
BLS and ABOG Certification
