DESCRIPTION
Mail Courrier
POSITION SUMMARY
The Courier shall ensure efficient delivery of interoffice mail and pick up and delivery of packages to various District constituencies including County and State offices and members of the Board of Education.
- Pick up and delivery of packages mail and equipment to various District constituencies.
- Prepares and process outgoing mail for the USPS.
- Coordinates the efficient pick up and delivery with the Executive County Superintendents office and the State Department of Education.
- Maintains assigned vehicle and equipment in proper working order.
- Maintains Central Office copy and mailroom supplies and inventory.
- Accepts package delivery and distributes packages and mail to Central Office staff.
- In cases of emergencies or personnel shortages may be assigned to Custodial or Groundsman position or to assist a Maintenance Mechanic.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Courier shall be able to perform the essential functions of their position at 100% capacity without any permanent physical limitations that would limit his/her ability.
- Be a licensed driver with an exceptional driving record and have transportation to and from the work site.
- Possesses a Black Seal Operating Engineers License preferred.
- Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule when needed.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
12 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any
applicable and collective negotiations agreement.
COMPENSATION
In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTSSA collective bargaining agreement the hourly compensation range for the 26 - 27 School Year for this position is from Step 1 ($20.56) - Step 7 ($23.47).

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position including but not limited Google Suite IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
