Mechanical Field Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical Field Technician to join our team based in Houston.

The Mechanical Field Technician will work within the team mobilizing to customer sites to apply ICRs engineered composite repairs (Technowrap) and weldless connection solutions (Quickflange) in line with client requirements and in compliance with all ICR procedures.

This role will report to the Operations Manager.

The main tasks include but are not limited to:

• Travel and work from various onshore and offshore locations both domestically and internationally. Often at short notice.
• Apply Technowrap and Quickflange products in line with client requirements and ICR procedures.
• To become totally conversant and have a full and detailed understanding of all of the Engineered Composite Repairs and Quickflange business processes and how they apply in the running of the business.
• Working with / supervising third parties when required.
• To take responsibility for ones own safety and for the safety of others working within ICR and whilst representing ICR on an external work site.
• Compliance with and commitment to Companys HSEQ policies and procedures.
• To assist the Operations Team in providing a high level of technical support to all customers.
• Ensure the application of the Companys quality procedures with reference to the Responsibilities and Authority Matrix.
• Carry out special projects or duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Carry out warehouse duties when not on a repair scope of work.
• Maintain inspect and service ICR Technowrap and Quickflange equipment.
• Prepare and package material for distribution to our domestic and international facilities.
• Complete required reports and documentation in line with Company standards and in an accurate and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Become totally conversant and have a full and detailed understanding of all the ICR business processes and how they apply in the running of the business.
• Take responsibility for your own safety and for the safety of others working within ICR and whilst representing ICR on an external work site.
• Become fully competent in the application of engineered composite repair products (Technowrap) on all pipework and structural geometries.
• Become fully competent in the application of ICRs weldless connection technology (Quickflange).

Key Skills Attributes and Experience:

Required:

• Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from ICR is required; ICR will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity
• 2 years of mechanical experience in oil & gas industrial or related field
• IT Skills Microsoft Office Packages including Word Excel and Outlook
• Experience working in hazardous environments and following strict safety protocols
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel frequently

Preferred:

• 1-3 years offshore experience (Gulf of Mexico experience is a plus)
• Certifications such as TWIC card HUET BOSIET or equivalent offshore safety training
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems
• Basic fabrication rigging or mechanical maintenance skills

Working Conditions:

• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Willingness to be clean shaven for face respirator fit tests.
• Drive a motor vehicle and maintain a drivers license with a clean driving record
• Air travel when required to and from work locations
• Ability and willingness to travel to customers sites requiring overnight stays with short notice as required
• Use of laptop and mobile systems
• Regularly work around machines electrical equipment chemicals and within industrial facilities
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Comfortable working at heights in confined spaces and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand walk climb and work extended shifts (12 hours)
• Must be able to wear PPE including respirators and protective suits during application processes
