Job Summary
POSITION: Lunch Aides
COMPENSATION: $17.00 hour
SHIFT: 5Days per week/2 hours/dayhours will vary depending on times of school
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Lunch Aide will serve as the primary supervision of the students during lunch and recess time.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- As directed by the Principal supervise the children inside and outside the building during lunch periods.
- Assist children during lunch and recess times.
- General safety first aid responsibilities.
- Provide for accounting functions associated with the school lunch program.
- at the direction of the Principal follow and implement school procedures for lunch and recess.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The ability to readily understand and carry out directions both oral and written; the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in written form; the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; the ability to develop an effective working relationship with staff students parents and the community; creative thinking problem solving skills and the ability to perform duties with an awareness of school department requirements and policies.
EDUCATION:
Such as may be gained through graduation from a senior high school or equivalent (GED). One year related experience preferred.
