About the Opportunity
We are seeking a senior-level Maintenance Technician III to support critical airport ground support infrastructure and passenger access systems in a fast-paced airport environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced electro-mechanical maintenance professional with strong mechanical troubleshooting electrical repair and industrial systems experience. The technician will perform advanced diagnostics repair preventive maintenance and emergency response work on complex systems that directly support airport operations.
This is a highly visible hands-on position requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills safe work practices and the ability to work around aircraft and heavy equipment.
Top Qualifications
Strong mechanical repair and troubleshooting
Proven electrical maintenance experience
Experience diagnosing complex system failures
Welding experience strongly preferred (important for at least one technician on the team)
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair electrical mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and conveyor-related systems
Perform preventive predictive corrective and emergency maintenance
Support repair and maintenance of airport access systems boarding equipment conveyance systems and related infrastructure
Read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams electrical schematics and technical manuals
Troubleshoot industrial controls motors wiring relays PLC-related systems and electrical components
Accurately document work orders repairs and PM activity in CMMS
Analyze recurring equipment issues and recommend long-term corrective solutions
Operate forklifts carts lifts and service vehicles as needed
Maintain strict compliance with airport safety and operational procedures
Communicate effectively with supervisors operations teams and airport stakeholders
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid drivers license
Ability to obtain airport/security clearance
5 years of industrial maintenance electro-mechanical repair or airport systems maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to work weekdays weekends holidays and multiple shifts if required
Comfortable working outdoors and in airport ramp environments
Preferred Experience
Passenger boarding bridges airport conveyance baggage or gate systems
Conveyor systems and motor controls
PLC troubleshooting
Welding and metal fabrication
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Blueprint and schematic reading
CMMS systems
Forklift or aerial lift experience
Airport aviation logistics or heavy industrial environments
Physical & Work Environment
This is a hands-on field maintenance role in an active airport environment.
Technicians should be comfortable:
Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Working around aircraft service vehicles and heavy equipment
Climbing ladders and working at heights
Working in confined spaces
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Standing kneeling crouching and crawling as needed
Working in loud industrial environments
