Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is partnering with a highly advanced innovation-driven manufacturing operation to identify a Mechanical Project Engineer ready to take ownership of capital projects thermal systems and plant infrastructure improvements.
This is not a support role. This is a full lifecycle project engineering position where you will lead initiatives from concept through commissioning directly impacting production efficiency safety and long-term plant performance.

What Youll Be Doing:
You will lead and execute high-impact engineering projects including:
Managing capital projects ($10K$5M) from concept scope execution closeout
Developing project scopes specifications budgets and timelines
Coordinating vendors contractors fabrication installation and commissioning
Supporting thermal and combustion systems including furnaces and heat-related processes
Partnering with production maintenance and engineering teams to solve complex equipment challenges
Driving improvements in safety reliability and operational performance
Managing project budgets schedules and contractor safety requirements
Contributing to the plants long-term capital planning and 5-year strategy
What Makes You a Strong Fit:
Were looking for engineers who bring:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
2 years of manufacturing or project engineering experience
Experience in Thermal/Combustion Engineering (required for top candidates)
Proven ability to manage projects from concept through execution
Strong collaboration skills across production maintenance and engineering teams
Bonus if you have:
Experience with furnace systems combustion processes or heat-intensive manufacturing
Background managing capital projects and vendor relationships
Experience in metals paper or heavy industrial environments
Strong project management and scheduling capabilities
