Applicant with a failing score in the same position may not re-take the same selection device for a 6-month period.

Location Requirements
DCYs core hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm however daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across DCY divisions. Employees may begin as early as 7:00am & as late as 9:00am based on supervisory approval. This position performs work on-site daily at DCYs office space.
4 yrs. project management (i.e. management & development of project/program requirements design development testing/pilot training & full scale implementation) with experience to be commensurate with project/program &/or position description on file (e.g. specific human service program area management information sciences fiscal); 12 mos. budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects.
-Or successful completion of 2 yrs. post-secondary education majoring in business administration public administration computer science/information technology social science or health with major being commensurate with project to be assigned; 12 mos. budgeting & calculating cost projections of program/projects; 12 mos. project management (i.e. management & development of project/program requirements design development testing/pilot training & full scale implementation).
-Or 12 mos. exp. as Project Manager 1 63381 or IT Project Manager 1 63384.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Were looking for an experienced IT and children services leader to oversee the development implementation and ongoing support of critical technology systems that power child welfare programs across the this role youll act as both a technical administrator and a key liaison between program staff IT teams leadership and external partners. Youll play a central role in ensuring systems effectively support programs like family support services foster care adoption and young adult services.
What Youll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations and long-term strategy for major automated systems including Ohio SACWIS Comprehensive Child Welfare Information Systems (CCWIS) and related platforms
- Oversee the full system lifecyclefrom planning and development through implementation maintenance and continuous improvement
- Translate program needs into technical solutions by working closely with stakeholders across program areas IT and leadership
- Ensure systems comply with state and federal regulations including Ohio Administrative Code requirements
- Guide system-related projects managing scope timelines budgets risks and vendor relationships
- Contribute to and help execute the agencys IT strategic plan to support long-term program goals
- Represent the agency in statewide and national initiatives (such as CCWIS) workgroups and public forums
- Develop budgets cost justifications and planning documents (including APDs) to secure and manage funding
- Support procurement efforts by helping develop RFPs RFIs and evaluation criteria for vendors and solutions
- Monitor system performance and drive improvements to ensure data integrity usability and effectiveness
- Engage internal and external stakeholders in planning implementation and feedback on systems.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of staff including assigning work setting goals and providing regular feedback
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development
- Foster a collaborative accountable and growth-oriented team environment
- Handle administrative responsibilities such as leave approvals and disciplinary recommendations when needed

Pay Information
Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be step 1 of the salary range associated with this position. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Based on collective bargaining and legislative activity there may be cost of living increases awarded annually. Additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below.
