About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager of North & South America Sales Department supports the Regional Headquarters (RHQ) management team in driving sales management plans and strategies for the YPHQ Products business to maximize sales and profitability across the North & South America markets. This role plays a critical part in executing Yokogawas regional strategyensuring alignment to long-term plans accelerating strategic actions and delivering measurable performance against key business targets.
You will partner across the YPHQ organization Industry SBUs and other Regional HQs to enable sustainable growth strengthen sales operations and build a high-performing engaged team. This is an opportunity for a seasoned commercial leader who thrives in cross-functional environments and is energized by strategy execution operational excellence and performance accountability.
What Youll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Regional Strategy Execution & Business Performance
Support effective rollout of sales management plans and strategies for YPHQ Products across North & South America.
Drive ownership and accountability for Regional Strategy implementation (FY30 Mid-Term Plan) from the YHQ perspective.
Partner with RHQ management teams to achieve business goals across:
o Order Intake (OI)
o Sales Turnover (ST)
o Gross Profit (GP)
o Operating Profit (OP1)
Identify business gaps and risks and develop recovery and mitigation plans with key stakeholders across RHQ and YPHQ.
FY Business Plan Delivery & Balanced Product Growth
Support RHQ management teams in achieving FY26 business plan targets including:
o 3rd Party (CMU) OI/ST/GP/OP1
o Contents OI/ST/GP
Support balanced product growth initiatives including Key Product N2F OI (both amount and quantity).
Drive implementation of strategic actions in partnership with RHQs aligned to regional strategy plans.
Flow Business Expansion & Local Manufacturing Enablement
Support development of Flow business expansion strategies in the North America market including local manufacturing initiatives.
Monitor progress and ensure follow-through on key milestones and performance indicators.
Sales Operations Excellence & Productivity Enablement
Improve sales operations efficiency by promoting adoption and effective use of productivity tools such as YODA CPQ and other enabling systems.
Enable consistent reporting governance and performance management rhythms that support predictable execution and strong commercial outcomes.
People Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness
Manage and supervise the North & South America Sales Department within the YPHQ/SMKC/RSM organization.
Drive team effectiveness and engagementimproving employee engagement outcomes and strengthening leadership practices across the department.
Success Measures (How Performance is Evaluated)
Achievement of FY26 business plan targets (OI/ST/GP/OP1) across product and regional priorities
Execution progress against Regional Strategy Plans (FY30 Mid-Term Plan) with clear ownership and measurable outcomes
Balanced product growth results including N2F order intake performance (amount and quantity)
Sales operations efficiency improvements through expanded use of productivity tools (YODA CPQ etc.)
Team performance capability development and improved employee engagement outcomes

What You Bring (Qualifications)
Education
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology (Electronics Instrumentation or related field)
MBA and/or Project Management Certification preferred
Experience
Proven track record in Product Sales and Marketing
20 years total professional experience
10 years in a management/supervisory role with demonstrated people leadership responsibility
Required Skills & Capabilities
Strong knowledge of Instrumentation Control & Analytical products industrial automation technologies and market trends
Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to drive accountability and results
Self-motivated performance-driven and comfortable operating in a matrixed organization
Strong communication and presentation skills across diverse audiences and leadership levels
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures functions and levels
Strong understanding of international project business including:
o Project lifecycle dynamics
o Purchase behaviors of end users EPCs and package suppliers
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes across stakeholders
