Project/Program:
DOL applications currently rely heavily on IBM WebSphere Service-oriented architecture(SOA) this position supports various key products within our architecture IBM WebSphere Application Server Business Automation Wofkflow Business Process Manageer Message Broker IBM Application Connect Enterprise - ACE and not limited to above IBM HTTPServer Apache WebSphere Message Queue which are used in single sign-on for individuals in addition to communication between components (applications) various databases and the mainframe.

This position is critical to troubleshooting problem determination and problem solving without this position DOL SOA Applications will experience longer production outages and possibly more frequent due to inexperience in support and maintenance of the IBM product line.

This position will also support the future efforts to modernize application into Kubernetes on Google Cloud Pak OpenShift

Day-to-Day Tasks:
1. Architect Design Install Support Configure & Problem
Determination of the following Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
products:
IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5 and 9.0.5..x
IBM WebSphere Business Process Manager 7.x and 8.x
IBM WebSphere Business Automation Workflow 8.6.x and 20.x or
latest
2. Architect Plan Design Install Configure & Support and IBM HTTP
Server 8.x & 9.x
3. Plan Design Install Configure & Support IBM Power and AIX
servers:
IBM AIX 5.x. AIX 6.x AIX 7.x Operating Systems
IBM Power8 Power9 and Power10 hardware utilizing PowerVM
virtualization
4. Install Configure and Support Monitoring products:
Manage Engine Applications Manager
5. Performance Testing and Tuning and capacity planning of a highly
available SOA infrastructure:
AIX utilities: nmon topas netstat vmstat iostat sar etc.
WebSphere Performance Tuning Toolkit
Assist with tuning of WebSphere Applications
Assist with troubleshooting performance testing during major upgrades and data center migration issues
6. Architect implementing High Availability and virtualization of IBM AIX and IBM WebSphere products.
7. Problem Determination and resolution of IBM WebSphere products
in a SOA infrastructure
8. Support and Patch Oracle WebLogic for PeopleSoft
9. Troubleshoot and find root cause analysis for the issues in all SOA environments (Dev Test Perf Staging and Prod)
10. Monitoring Servers for high availability in all environments.
11. Assist staff to install Configure and troubleshoot IBM WebSphere Technologies.
Documenting enterprise level SOA standards best practice and patterns for above IBM Products.

Mandatory Qualification:
Software Architect -
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards including software coding standards tools and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Expert -
84 months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of Design Installation configuration problem determination of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) products including: IBM WebSphere Application Server ND 8.5.5 and 9.0.5 WebSphere Business Process Manager 7.x an 8.x WebSphere Business automation Workflow 8.6.x and 23.x or latest.
- 84 months of Design Installation and Supporting IBM HTTP Server 8.x and 9.x Apache v2.2.x and 2.4.x.
- 84 months of Design Installation and Administration of IBM Power hardware and IBM AIX 5.x 7.x
- 60 months of Installation & Support of Manage Engine Applications Manager
- 60 months of Performance Testing Tuning and capacity planning of WebShere/AIX SOA infrastructure.
- 60 months of experience with the architecture and implementation of IBM AIX and IBM WebSphere products in a High Availability and virtualized environment.
- 60 months of Problem Determination and Resolution of WebSphere productions in a SOA infrastructure
- 60 months of supporting and patching Oracle WebLogic for PeopleSoft.
