Laboratory Technician

• Analytical analysis and testing:
  • Independently write conduct review and report scientific inquiries
  • Troubleshoot calibrate and maintain instrumentation
  • Assist with test method development and validation efforts
  • Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
  • Performing pH and OV testing
• Foster morale and teamwork
• Attend meetings with client along with group leader or when group leader is absent
• Keep group leader informed on critical issues in the lab.
• Communicate with other labs client and management when group leader is out of office
• Be the go to person in the lab when Group leader is out of office
• Complete QC charting
• Monitor Backlog
• Support group leader in organizing testing scheduling and planning and ensuring testing is completed within TAT
• Be available to group to support group leader with special and high volume projects

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in chemistry biology or other related degree concentration or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed with occasional off-shift/weekend work
• Strong leadership initiative and team building skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
• Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
• Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company and client policies
• Ability to delegate workflow as required
• Ability to work overtime/weekends
• Ability to work in a hot dusty environment lift over 50 lbs and be standing for more than 50% of the shift
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
