Position Summary:â
This position works within theâProgramsâdepartment on the Nutrition Education team. This departmentâis responsible forâproviding the community with culturallyâappropriate nutritionâresources and accessible food safety information.âToâsupport these tasks this position will:
- Provide community nutrition workshopsâ
- Build culturallyâappropriate recipesâ
- Participate in annual food safety inspectionsâââ
- Conduct outreach to Emergency Food Programs looking to build nutrition servicesâ
- Support efforts for the Nutrition Masterclass program
- Produce monthly newsletter contentâ
- Join various cross-organization committee meetingsââ
Skills and qualifications:â
- Compassionate patient and sensitive to the needs of people experiencing food insecurityâââ
- Basic computer skills:âtyping data entry Outlook Microsoft Suiteââ
- Bonus skills:âCanva Creative Cloudââ
- Confident public speaking skillsâ
- Strongâcommunicationâskillsââ
- Clear and cohesive writing skillsâ
- Responsible time management
- Experience building educational contentâââ
- Organized thorough and detail-orientedâ
