• Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills

As a Pre-Vocational Aide you start by assisting students with personal care and guiding them through job-readiness activities both on and off campus. Whether youre offering support during a life skills session or transporting students to a vocational opportunity youre always part of a collaborative therapeutic team that uplifts and encourages. You track progress assist with coaching and engage in hands-on learning experiences that empower students to become more independent. Your responsibilities would include monitoring the students while they complete straightforward tasks such as collecting trash from the offices helping clean up in the cafeteria or vacuuming and sweeping the hallways. Through positive reinforcement and communication you help create a safe respectful and growth-oriented environment.
