WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE
As an entry-level Job Coach - Direct Support Professional your day is filled with moments that matter. You team up with dedicated professionals to support students in developing essential life and job skills. You transport students to classes and work opportunities encouraging them every step of the way. Whether youre offering hands-on guidance with vocational tasks assisting with personal care or helping students practice independence youre part cheerleader part coach and 100% difference-maker. Your responsibilities would include monitoring the students while they complete straightforward tasks such as collecting trash from the offices helping clean up in the cafeteria or vacuuming and sweeping the hallways. You document progress collaborate with instructors and build strong therapeutic connections while helping students unlock their full potential.

WHATS NEEDED FROM A JOB COACH - DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Were looking for someone who can commit to a full-time 40-hour schedule and who brings the following qualities to the table:
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Fairness forethought and good judgment
- Computer skills
- Understanding of general environmental and safety policies/procedures
- Understanding and ability to complete all required documentation
- Understanding of client confidentiality regulations and protocols (HIPAA/FERPA)
- Knowledge of policies and procedures for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect
- Ability and commitment to function as a healthy and therapeutic role model
- Ability to model and reinforce skills in the program and community while fostering independence
- Ability to assist students with personal care development and maintenance as appropriate
- Ability to understand and adhere to licensing regulations
