Forest Lake Area School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of a Community Education Marketing Planner to start Immediately.

Department: Community Education

Reports to: Community Education Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

The Community Education Marketing Planner is responsible for coordinating and supporting marketing initiatives within the Community Education Department.This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and brand identity that increases awareness engagement and participation in Community Education programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with individual Community Education programs to coordinate social media content.
• Create compelling graphics and engaging copy for social media posts.
• Build authentic relationships and foster a positive community environment on social media.
• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.
• Assist with the development of new strategies to increase growth and engagement in Community Education programs the school district and the community.
• Help manage a database of marketing requests from Community Education programs.
• Assist with the design and execution of two monthly e-newsletters and promotional flyers.
• Ensure brand identity through consistent messaging and visual identity.
• Support the development of seasonal catalogs by generating course reports and editing.
• Maintain communication with staff regarding marketing initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; associates or bachelors degree preferred.
• One or more years of experience in marketing digital content creation and/or graphic design.
• This role requires availability on some nights in order to capture program content.
• Strong organizational communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff class instructors participants and the public.
• Proficiency in Canva social media platforms (Facebook Instagram etc.) and Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Drive) preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wage:$21.60/hour (B22 classification) per the Forest Lake General Benefits Description. May be increased with prior work experience related to this position.
  
  
• This position may be filled as either full-time or part-time depending on the availability and preferences of the selected candidate. The final schedule and work arrangement will be determined in collaboration with the Community Education Marketing Coordinator.
