We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support our Maintenance and Engineering teams in improving plant safety reliability and efficiency. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and offers exposure to real-world engineering projects preventative maintenance programs and safety systems. The intern will gain valuable experience working alongside engineers maintenance leaders and production teams while contributing to meaningful plant improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for manufacturing equipment.
- Support the development and documentation of Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures.
- Work with project engineers to support ongoing plant improvement and equipment projects.
- Assist in reviewing equipment documentation and updating standard work instructions.
- Participate in plant walkthroughs to identify safety and reliability improvements.
- Help organize maintenance documentation and equipment records.
- Support data collection and analysis related to equipment performance and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Production and Engineering teams on assigned projects.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed at least one year of engineering coursework.
- Interest in manufacturing maintenance or industrial engineering.
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.
