Maintenance/Facilities Technician l - 1st Shift

Purpose:
This position provides building maintenance; systems furniture assembly; relocation of office personnel and equipment; and carpentry painting electrical and plumbing tasks. Performs routine facilities service duties such as housekeeping material handling and building maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must prioritize all work requests as received based on customer and safety requirements.
• Ensure that all jobs meet state and local codes where applicable.
• Enter all information into the MP2 system.
• Fill out all logs and forms properly.
• Investigate and analyze reoccurring problems and find solutions to correct them.
• Clean up all job sites when finished and help keep facilities area clean maintained and safe.
• Assist with Kaizen events and conference set-ups.
• Communicate with management and other shifts as to status of parts equipment and any other matters that might impact their jobs.
• Follow all safety policies and perform any other duties and projects as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year of work experience in building/facilities maintenance (i.e.: plumbing painting material handling etc.)

Knowledge Requirements:

• Knowledge of hand/power tools used in building maintenance basic plumbing electricity and mechanics preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
