Base pay rate starts at $30.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift Full time Monday through Friday
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position
- Picking up and loading orders of palletized materials and stone inventory to deliver to job sites
- Safely driving the orders to the designated delivery point observing all rules and regulations of the road and DOT
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections thoroughly
- Complete DOT required drivers daily log and trip sheets accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
- Unload orders on-time at the designated receiving location leveraging use of a Moffett or forklift
- Record movement of inventory and delivery within our shipping system as required
- Report back regularly to Logistics Supervisor or Logistics Manager on deliveries
- Communicate with Project Managers and on-site work crews as needed to ensure up-to-date information is shared
- Assist as needed with inventory counts or other tasks as required
Qualifications :
- CDL Class A license
- 2 years of prior CDL experience
- 2 years of Moffett and Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to travel including staying overnight on rare occasions
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience required
- Valid Drivers license and ability to pass CDL testing requirements including DOT Physical
- Strong record of safe driving history
- Spanish language skills a plus but not required
