Job Summary

Position Summary:

Level Four: Level 4 maintenance technicians work with little to no supervision. Is able to perform all levels of repair and maintenance; expert in troubleshooting any mechanical repair or rebuild expert in electrical and electronic diagnostic as well as repair and rebuild. Able to fix all types of equipment in the facility expert in all facility repairs issues. Leader in maintenance department able to mentor train and lead other maintenance team members. Typically 10 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Correctly interpret work orders
  • Work in a team environment i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Perform all levels of equipment repair.
  • Work with production to prioritize repairs.
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting.
  • Install calibrate trouble shoot and program microprocessor based instruments.
  • Dismantle and inspect production equipment as needed.
  • Interface with vendors and contractors (equipment repairs facilities etc.)
  • Provide leadership and training to level one two and three maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills:

  • Basic English language skills and the ability to read follow and interpret planning and work order instructions
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of controls and interfaces.
  • The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - advanced computer skills
  • The ability to read and interpret work instructions and advanced prints and dimensions

Experience & Education

  • 10 plus years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required
  • GED or High School diploma required

Working Conditions:

  • Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment
  • Constant exposure to moderate noise
  • Working conditions may include small spaces dust fumes odors hot / cold temperatures inside / outside noise vibration standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday Thursday 6pm to 6am.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to stand walk bend squat climb kneel twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
  • Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping pushing and pulling of materials.
  • Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane boom lift and manlift.
  • Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment including a respirator.
  • Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
