Job Summary

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures procedure documentation patient education and assisting with patient care.

This is a part-time (0.8) position working 4 days per week during hours of operation Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm out of our Woodbury location traveling to Edina occasionally.

Vascular & Interventional Experts is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of radiological equipment & safety shielding techniques imaging skills and equipment trouble-shooting skills analyzing and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the IR department.
  • Circulate and scrub during procedures patient education assisting with patient care within scope of practice and inventory management.
  • Able to identify adverse events or unanticipated outcomes using critical thinking skills and notifies the medical staff including nurses and physicians appropriately
  • Practice Radiation Safety in accordance with regulations. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis
  • Request medical records and imaging from other sites
  • Assist VIE Provider with accurate data collection documentation and data entry for compliance
  • Analyze and assist in resolving problems resulting in improvement of patient care practice and system operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program
  • RT(VI) RT(CV) or RT(CT) preferred. Willing to cross-train
  • Experience as an interventional technologist preferred
  • BLS required

  • Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
  • Frequentlyâlift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequentlyâpush/pull patients up to 50 pounds or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • Frequentlyâstand walk bend and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer phone printer).
