LocationProfile:

Headquartered in Irvine CA Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly structural assembly rotor blade attachment and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining CNC Waterjet Cutting Laser Marking Heat Treating NDT and EDM.

Position Summary:

Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under generalsupervision supportsa variety of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment employee relations employee record-keeping and specialized HR projects.
  • Act asliaisonbetween employee and management to answer questions or concernsregardingcompany policiespracticesand regulations.
  • Collect and analyze human resources data as assigned andmake recommendations for changes to management.
  • Execute human resources policies and procedures.
  • Support plant management create reports and provide HR related data and metrics as assigned
  • Administer employee compensationtrainingand benefit programs.
  • Help coordinate recreation programs through contacts withincompanyand with outside contractors. Counsel and advice employeesregardingconcerns about benefits companypoliciesand workers compensation
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies procedures and reportingare in compliance.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan personnel transactions such as hires promotions transfers performance reviews and terminations and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Interacts with managers in HR activities: Trains management in interviewing hiring terminations promotions performance review safety and sexual inappropriate resolutionof employee relations issues.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness compliance and equity withinorganization.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews todeterminereasons behind separations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associates degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-Year College or technical school; five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read andcomprehendinstructions email and phone correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Payroll systems; Internet software; Human Resource systems; Project Management software and Contact Management systems.
