Head of Engineering Services

Summary This senior engineering leadership position oversees all engineering service functions supporting project execution across North America providing centralizedexpertiseto all incumbent provides direct management and oversight to managers responsible for concurrentengineering auxiliary systems and automation documentation and role ensures that engineering services are delivered safely reliably on time and in compliance with engineering standards and customer incumbent drives engineering excellence fosters continuous improvement and ensures effective integration across design engineering procurement manufacturing project management and field mission is to achieve total customer satisfaction through highquality and consistent engineering deliverables throughout the product and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple engineering service functions through their respective managers ensuring coordinated and effective support across all phases of project execution.

• Maintain an engineering services organization capable of delivering safe reliable and highquality outputs.

• Ensure engineering service deliverables meet scope quality and scheduling commitments.

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards design guidelines processes and technical governance across all supporting functions.

• Lead quality and risk management processes (FMEA RCA CAR) while ensuring lessons learned are captured implemented and continuously improve engineering service performance.

• Provide engineering support to sourcing manufacturing and field operations to ensure consistent quality throughout the product lifecycle.

• Collaborate with design engineering teams to support OTO and OTC activities including schedules work packages and hour estimates.

• Serve as an internal and external representative for engineering services effectively communicating complex technical issues.

• Support the training and development of engineering staff to sustain worldclass technical capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience preferably in hydro or energy-related industries.

• At least 10 years in engineering leadership roles with responsibility over multidisciplinary teams including direct management of managers.

• Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail commitment to engineering excellence and ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
